My Radeon 9600TX graphics card has burnt out, so I need to replace it with something similar. Gaming not required just a card for everyday use. The PC is 3 years old so I don't want to go OTT just need something to get me up & running again!

I second that one Speedy.

I only use Ascent Technologies (www.ascent.co.nz) Great to deal with, great after service support, free shipping, new website design... all the great things  as many other people have found and recommend on this forum

Just trying to find the cheapest goods that's all.

I know, but cheapest is NOT always better, I prefer to pay the extra that Ascent charges and then I KNOW I am not going to regret it.

Anyway, micky what is your budget for a card?

I've only just started looking looked at some Harvey Norman $160 Albetron and DSE 9550se $136. Not sure what price really, just inquiring as to the best value for money! As I said don't want to go OTT if the PC does pack up.

Oh ok, wow, I just had a look at Ascent and they are only $5 cheaper than DSE for the 9550se... if you are really needing it now, I would just go and grab the one from DSE. But with AGP, the cards are actually increasing in price because of PCI-E cards now being the standard, so I would say the 9550se will do what you want
