I want to include a signature which is an HTML file (like those made by Plaxo). How can I do thsi with a simple shortcut?

The following might help. I didn't study it, so unsure if it works for an html sig. But if it doesn't there is an add-on called signature which you can download and install which will probably do what you want.

Start here (http://opensourcearticles.com/articles/introduction_to_thunderbird_3).

Or find the add-on from here (http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/).

[edit] Or this link (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Signatures_%28Thunderbird%29) may help best.

Done that, but for some reason the email just won'r send - I just get status "attaching" but it goes nowhere.

I have made up my signature using Frontpage if that makes any difference.

Brilliant exactly what I have wanted in thunderbird for ages, never really looked for anything though, this is the one I used https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/611/

You can use any html editor or modify the code below, and save as sig.html

<html><body>
Regards,<br />
<br />
My Name<br />
Business Name<br />
<br />
Ph: 123 456 789<br>
Mob: 123 456 789<br>
Web: www.google.co.nz
</body>
</html>

And when such sigs are sent to people like me who have HTML disabled in their email clients they won't get to see the brilliant results. :cool:

You can just read the code and visualise it (may take a little practise) :yuck:
