Welcome to PressF1 Donald ran. gordon :)

AVG is still free :) (its just the old version 7.1 that is expiring), they just have a new version out 7.5 (which is also free) – see: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1/lng/us/tpl/v5

Hope this helps :)

In fact version 7.5 is available to download now.
Version 7.1 will be discontinued in the new year - therefore you won't be able to update it.

Get 7.5 - you can update it tnow too - I have just done so for a lady round the corner....

It could be the wording of the notice that pop up saying that AVG 7.1 is expiring in Jan.

Looks like I'll be busy. Getting panicked calls about it.

Answer: shut down then Uninstall old version. Download and install new version.

Thats apparently too much for some and I am rushing about doing it for them...

haha easy money.......however you dont need to uninstall the old version just run the install of the new one and choose the 'repair' option that'll upgrade it to the new one and retain all the settings....

Darn. Maybe I shouldn't have put Avast on everyone's PC instead of AVG after all.
