As the NIC and modem is stuffed on this. I'm pretty sure, whatever happened to the NIC afftected the modem.

As the modem when I dialup wont stay connected now. It disconnects after about 1.5 mins.

Somehow, both got damaged last night.

The rest of the system still works (obviously) coz I'm posting this thread on it.

BUT, to get on the net, I have to go thru the other PC here (I've put a 10/100 NIC in this for now).

I would get another (later) mobo, but then that would be a waste of a P4 CPU.

So, any takers?? And what would the cost be? I dont think any shops up here in Auckland stock them anymore (or any 478 pin mobo). BUT, I may ring around later and see whats around.

TaI have that MOBO almost three years ago. :( Can't sell it because I'm using it now. You can get P4 CPUs for around less than $100 now.

Thanx for the info guys. Umm, yer bit late for Trademe at the mo, since I dont have money, or a credit card either.

In the end the P4P8000 died completely lol. Which is why I havent replied till now.

It booted but something was stopping it from sending a signal to the LCD. So u could actually see something.

And luckily, I had this P4S8x-x laying around lol. Not the best mobo. Since it doesnt have SATA. But it actually runs faster (for some reason) than it did on the other PC. It used to be on.

I had to change the CPU from the 800 fsb 2.4 CPU, to a 1.5 400 fsb CPU. Lucky, I had a spare 1.5 CPU.

Since the P4S8x-x doesnt support 800 fsb CPU's. And it most probably would have killed the 2.4 if I had left it on this mobo.
