Hi Guys

My friend bought a dell inspirion 6400, but it seems that he cant run oblivion on it, it just comes up with an error report. We tried re-installing it, but to the same problems

Does anyone know why? his specs are core duo 1.6 ghz, 1gb ram and ATI Radeon xpress 1400 ram. 100GB HD running xp professional

You sure its got an ATI Radeon Xpress 1400 chipset/video chipset? Chances are the laptop isn't capable of playing oblivion. Ive never heard of any ATI products that use the 1400 series of numbers, but if they did chances are it would be fairly low end.
