The application, C:\WINDOWS\system32\mmc.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 10/03/2006 @ 21:29:12.250 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 72834730 (MFC42u!Ordinal6211)

What does this mean, in plain English please.

Do you have any more details. Check the event log. If the error code is in hexadecimal convert it to decimal

This is from event log.
This came up after I was dumped from program.

You managed to trigger one of the bugs in the programme.

Exception c0000005 is "access violation", so it might be the dreaded buffer overflow. In this case, the system has detected it, instead of installing a root kit to take over your computer. :thumbs:

Those numbers would be helpful to a programmer in Microsoft, with access to the source code. There's nothing we can do about it, except restart the programme, or reboot the computer.
