i insert a dial up card in a asus p5s-vm motherboard into a PCI slot and as soon as i restart it - it will not run-then i take it out and it works fine - anyone know whats going on :badpc:

Have u tried all the PCI slots? Not just 1?

What else is in the case beside this, the videocard and ram?

What do you mean by "it will not run"? Can you boot your computer into safe mode after installing the dial-up card?

it powers up but the screen wont turn on - it doesnt even beep once to say every things working proberly - only when i plug the dial up card in

thers no video card and 256 mb of ram - missed that part of your question sorry
