I've been asked to copy some pictures off an xbox onto my computer so that i can make a slideshow dvd.

I have a switching hub that is used to connect my two computers onto the internet.
Can i just plug an ethernet cable from the xbox into the switching hub or would it be better to go from the xbox straight to my computer without going through the hub/adsl modem.
Will my computer reckonise the xbox or will i have to manually assign it an ip address.
If so how do i go about it.

Thanks, Brian.

I presume that if your graphics card has a TV-In port, you can plug the Xbox into that and seeing what happens.

I tried connecting it to my tv card but couldnt seem to get it to work.

After reading a few sites on the net i've found there are ways to do it but it's not worth the hassle to me.
Thanks anyway, Brian.
