Hi there,

Is there any software product out there I can download to act as an answerphone instead of paying for Call minder?

If so, can you create menu options eg If you want such and such press 1 press 2 etc so people can leave different messages in different voice mailboxes.

Even better if it is freeware!

Cheers,

Try the words:
freeware answerphone software
into Google.

But its not all that good in practice, unless you have a very good external serial RS232 dial-up modem, you are likely to get glitches that means the modem fails to disconnect etc with cheap internal modems.

Played with software a few years back (software was budled with a good modem) but a stand-alone answerphone was still much better. People are less than impressed having to listen to a message and press a key etc, they hate it with a vengance with banks and teleco's, why would you subject them to more?

But still none are as convenient as Call Minder.

I'm prety sure Bitware was the name of a prgram that was very good at that but was not free except with the modem.
