The PCI card supports USB 2.0
Essentially your adding 2.0 support to your computer with this card.

As long as you have a spare PCI slot your good to go.

According to the manual it only supports USB not USB 2.0. In saying that when you put the USB 2.0 card in it well operate in the USB mode not USB 2.0 mode.

Ah no. If its a PCI USB 2 card, it'll be USB 2 not USB 1.1

Once SP1 or 2 is installed. Thats if XP is installed. Or 2000/98 SE +.

What would be the point in getting a USB 2 card if it only went @ 1.1 speed?
