I recently got a second-hand PC, which I've butchered to take the parts that I want to put into my PC. One of the things I took was the RAM - I put the two RAM modules in my PC (removing my old RAM modules) - now when I ran CPUZ it told me I had "Dual Channel" RAM.

Now I've heard of dual channel RAM before... is it good? or fantastic? or just another day at the office?

Cheers :)

Mike.

This technology doubles the data throughput from RAM to memory controller, gives you twice the bandwidth thus better performance.

What is dual channel? read and Google (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_Channel) and you shall find.

These days it is common.
