OK, Heres the situation.....Friday, computer was working ok. Saturday, wall switch was turned off with the computer turned off. Now when i turn the pc on, POST doesnt detect my keyboard. WinXP loads ok but i cant move the mouse or use the keyboard.

I unplugged the keyboard and plug it to my other pc and it works fine.

Any ideas on why this is happening? :help:

Is it USB or PS2?
If USB go into the BIOS and make sure (depending on BIOS) USB KB is on, or Legacy USB.

Any ideas on why this is happening? Only an idea, but it sounds like something on the motherboard got stuffed

What is the mobo? Years ago there was a PCDirect mobo that had a PS/2 fuse that could open and give this problem.

Can you borrow a USB keyboard to try?
