Hello Han. Have you searched through the forum for free firewall programs?

Cheers :)

Zone Alarm or Kerio are two of the better free ones. I use Kerio as I found it easier to configure for my LAN. Works even after expiry except for little reiminder box: not a big hassle.

I find Guarddog is very good for Linux. It is free and easy to configure.
In addition, there is an excellent handbook that I saved to a CD.

JimI think he was referring to Windows firewalls.
Incidentally, I don't use one (in linux) as I don't see the need

For the windows computers I administer, all use Outpost Pro

At home I don't use a firewall as I'm behind a NAT router (an old Dlink 802.11b). There is only one computer on the network, so am not worried about other machine bringing in nasties. If I do get another machine on the network (say a colleague is visiting), I'll just turn on PC-Cillin's 2006 firewall.
