Greetings all,

For many different reasons Id like a sound driver / layer that is able to capture all sound that is being sent to my speakers before it actually gets there, and save it to disk (as an mp3, ogg, aac, wav file, whatever).

Ideally if it can split it so it only saves when there IS output being sent.

Surely there's something like this out there? Am I the only one who would have a use for this?

Cheers

Chill.

This would be like the programmes which capture streamed audio. I'm sure you've got something like that. You would never, ever, use it on DRMed stuff, would you? :D

i've used this (http://www.download.com/Audio-Recorder-for-Free/3000-2168_4-10500407.html) before and it worked fine for recording what is being played from soundcard

not a driver though.. just a seperate program.. so prob not what you want..
but it might just work for one of your many reasons~
