View Full Version : TWAIN enabled digital camera

My main question is this: how can I tell if my camera is TWAIN enabled.

I wrote several applications using TWAIN and downloaded others however none of them work with my camera under Windows 2000, only Windows XP. I thought it was a drivers problem at first but after installing the correct drivers, it still didn't work. I even tried another brand of digital camera and it still didn't work. What makes me suspicious is that the software provided with the camera does work, and the TWAIN applications (so I was told) work with other brands of digital camera. This leads me to believe that some cameras are TWAIN enabled while others are not. How can I tell?? :badpc:

Have you installed the TWAIN driver for your camera? Does a TWAIN driver exist for your camera? Usuallly the drivers are identified as being for TWAIN.

A quick test: can you access your camera using Picasa2 or Ifanview. They both have TWAIN input, accessed through the File menu.
