View Full Version : Website Help, OK in IE, Not in firefox,

27-06-2006, 11:54 PM

I have been designing my own website using Front page and while the home page looks OK in IE but it does not look so good in Firefox.

The text is running over the blue box, without the box it works fine in the other pages.

The website is www.rockresearch.co.nz

Any suggestions,

Your site looks fine in Firefox 1.0.7 :) (By the way nice design, pity it was done in Front page :( )

Looks OK using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv: Gecko/20060508 Firefox/ - Build ID: 2006050817 as well.

Love your design.

Seems OK (Firefox 1.54, Win XP). The only minor glitch is that there is something odd with the bottom of your blue box, with Firefox there seems to another blue rectangle without rounded corners stuck on the bottom of the main blue rectangle ..

Oh and that light orange colour used for fonts in the footer is hardish to read on my LCD screen against white..

This is what I saw, maybe there is a small box that is not supposed to be there.

Thanks for all your help,

Just before posting I had made a minor change which seems to have stopped the text overwriting the blue box,

Hopefullly this last fix is something I can manage myself,

See the code below:

<div class="container clearfix">
<div class="news_right clearfix" id="news" style="width: 255px; height: 385px">
<div class="news_cnr_top"><img src="prozac_afternoon/images/cnr_tl.gif" alt="corner" width="8" height="8" class="cnr" style="display: none" /></div>
<p><span class="news_title">Online Surveys</span><br />

<div class="news_cnr_bottom">

<img src="prozac_afternoon/images/cnr_bl.gif" alt="corner" width="9" height="8" class="cnr" style="display: none" /></div>

I think the problem is the <img> tag at the end is the problem, as it is after the text.

Great page apart from the orange fonts.(all a bit hard to read but bottom line impossible)Viewed it in Xandros with Firefox
and Xp with IE

Agree with kjaada.

Great site, but hampered by the orange for legibility.

In Firefox 1.5.03 (linux) I get the misplaced lower corners on the blue box as well. There's also what looks like an off-by-1-pixel error leaving a 1px gap between the right vertical orange line and the two bottom horizontal orange lines.

The design for the site is great. I wish I had some talent in that area :D !
