Hi

Anyone here use Avast and got a result saying 'Unable to scan. The file is a decompression bomb'

What is this decompressiong bomb? Shall I get rid of it? Is it a malware on anykind?

I Googled "Decompression Bomb" and found several sites that more or less explain it. Such a 'bomb' may download as a 5MB file and turn into a 100GB file when it is decompressed. Such a file is likely to exceed your computers capacity causing problems. I guess that is the intent! :horrified

You would think that any AV would at least have the option to delete the file.
Have you done this manually?
