When I set Firefox to open a new tab when middle-clicking a link, it does what it's supposed to, and opens the tab in the background. When I use Mozilla it jumps to the new tab, ie opens it in the foreground. There isn't an option in Mozilla to change this preference.

Does anyone know of a hack to make Mozilla's new tab to open like Firefox's?

Thanks.

In SeaMonkey press shift and middle-click. Presume it works in all Mozilla suites.

In SeaMonkey you can change a setting in Preferences to do this - I think it's the same as Mozilla.

Edit / Preferences / Navigator / Tabbed Browsing
Remove tick in "Switch to new tabs opened from links"
