When helping another member in another thread, I realised the information maybe of help to others so I have highlighted it here. The following assumes you have downloaded and installed Spybot. If not, why not!!

Spybot has two great tools to protect your computer but most users either can't use them or don't know about them.

Unfortunately there is a minor fault in the current version. Here's how to fix it.

Make sure your computer is completely clean of virus etc first.

Go to here (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=122) and follow the instructions.

Now open the new improved Spybot and Click TOOLS.
On the right hand side tick RESIDENT.
Click RESIDENT that has just appeared on the left side.
Tick SDHELPER
Tick TEATIMER

Close Spybot and reboot. At first the pop up boxes will be the proverbial pain in the .... but Spybot is just learning about your computer and wants. As time goes by these get less and less. Then when something tries to change your homepage or system, bang up comes the pop up and you know instantly.
Always read them carefully and just deny if you don't know what Spybot is telling you. Your troubles are over!!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Beama, I know but others may not so here's the directions for a neat little game.

For those who are interested in playing The Knight Jump Game, open Spybot and simply left click on the small symbol on the header. In most cases the small binocular icon.

If one turns on the ADVANCED MODE in TOOLS in Spybot, there's a world of features for you to use.

There's a very good shredder for overwriting and removing those pieces of evidence that you are a Bulgarian spy.

There's a good area to toggle off or on any startup programs that you see fit.

There's a processes area that is much more concise that Task Manager.

There's more..just drill around in it for a while...and be sure to use the DESELECT ALL option in the Ignore Products area to make sure you are not running SpyBot in a crippled way.

Burnzee - THANKS for the TeaTimer fix. It has been 'bugging' me for ages.

SurferJoe - also thanks for the Advanced items - a long while ago I played around with them but forgot they were there until I read your post.
