well i jsut got a s3 virge video card (325) to use dual moniters, i went to install some downlaoded drivers that said theyre for xp, and now the device wont work at all =/ turns out theyre for win95...joy

the card was working before, but randomly froze, so i just did the first thing that came to mind and tried to get new drivers, turns out after looking around that the ones that come on the xp cd are the latest, joy..again

How can i get my xp drivers back for this device? it says that its using them now but it wont work jsut comes up with trouble starting this device blah blah.

it works when you boot and as soon as u get into windows it cuts off.

XP PRO

so far i've tried changing the pci slots its using, uninstalling reinstalling, restarting 50 million times :badpc: :waughh:

any help much appretiated :)

use vga mode (http://www.petri.co.il/safe_mode_in_windows_2000_xp_2003.htm) to boot and then roll back drivers.

failing that the s3 virge video card has to be the primary display card to enable dual monitors (check your bios setup).

resource for dual monitors (http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/faq.asp)

I'd find a better video card anyway...... :D

Yeh what gibbler said

But there are many better gfx cards out there for only a bit more than $2 (you'd be suprised). s3 virge are pretty redundant.

:D

well im pretty poor, so like a $10 budget really

find me a better one that goes into pci, not agp for $10 in chch and i'll give ya a medal.
