Install Mozilla! Seriously - it is better - worth it just for the tabbed browsing.

Could be viruses or spyware or a conflict with a program recently installed. Have you scanned with antivirus and antispyware tools? Are there any other problems with the computer?

Did it ever work, have you just loaded the latest updates from MS?

Ahhhhhhhh, there is another thread on these updates. You may be able to un-instal some of them. Probably wait a day or two or three and see what issues other people are having rather than jumping in boots and all. Never a good idea to update immediately from MS without waiting to see how others are faring especially on a mission critical machine.

Have you tried reinstalling IE6? Did you encounter any error messages prior crashing?

Cheers :)

Please be critical of my English, especially my grammar!

James this is not really nice!
Why should I be critical of your grammar she's probably a nice old lady. How about picking on someone more to your own age?

You can download it here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/ie7betaredirect.mspx

I would be inclined to try and get IE 6 working before you add anymore complications.
Have you tried a repair of IE 6
Go to Control Panels/Add remove programs
Select IE and Remove
If you get an option to Repair select that.
If repair is not there back out without doing anything.

I agree with Safari in that you should try and fix your current problem rather than rush in and update to IE7.
