Hi
I have made a simple network. connecting 2 computers.

Computer A
Windows XP Pro + SP2 on a NTFS Partition
IP=192.168.0.1
subnet mask=255.255.255.0
connected to internet via a USB Modem (D-Link200)
shares the internet with computer B via AnalogX Proxy.
2 folders in total are shared.
Windows firewall is disabled on the Internet connection and LAN
Sygate personnal firewall 5.6. (LAN connection allowed for access)

Computer B
Windows 98 SE
IP=192.168.0.2
subnet mask=255.255.255.0
1 folder in total is shared.
IE configured for AnalogX Proxy.

I can go on the internet on computer B for 2-3 hours then the line drops and you cant access the internet on computer B.

Since i have assingned the IP properly on Computer A & B i should be able to view each others shared folders but in this case i can only view Computer B folders from Computer A.

How can i solve this.

the file shareing is proberly due to no logon password. need to have account on the XP pc that has the smae name and password as the 98se networking logon.

quite a few posts on it here that are better than me explaining it.

no idea why analogX would stop, firewall stopping it?

Now i am trying to setup the printer so i follow this:-

Printer - Add Printers - locate the printer (//192.168.0.1/printer)then it gives me a window where there are lots of printers listed. HP 840 C isnt listed there so i click on "have disk" then it looks for the driver (inf) so i put the driver cd of the printer suddenly i get this windowthis window (http://i1.tinypic.com/ru0hg7.jpg)
