Hi

We have a Sony Camera and with it came the programme Picture Package. We installed it to the T (uninstalled and reinstalled too) as per instructions only problem being that when it apprears on the screen you can't see the whole page, when using the music video slideshow option When you try to move it it won't move.

This means that when you want to go to the next page to put the pics onto disk you can't. So say you have a folder with 5 pages to select you can only select only the first page.

It does work but I don't want to put each folder of photos into folders of about 15 pic.

Does anyone know this programme??? Or maybe point me in the right direction of how to go about sorting this out.

Thanks :help:

A client of mine has it and it's a heap of rubbish, wouldn't work for them either
I'd look around at other options
Most software that comes with cameras is outdated rubbish
Look for updates to the program before you dump it though

I agree Sony Picture Package is pants. Try Picassa.

OK thank you both. Kinda what I thought but will have a look to see if there are updates.

I do have picasa2.

But what I was wanting was a programme that you could put all your photos onto disk with music like a video/slideshow and be able to play it on the tv. Preferably free, is there such a thing???

Thanks again

If you got nerovision with your CD/DVD writer that will do it
Bit of a learning curve though
There are stacks of 'not free' ones around and for this sort of task they are probably a better option
My favourites at the moment are the Ulead products
When I want to build a 'quick & dirty' photo DVD I use either
http://www.ulead.com/ups/pocket_slideshow.htm (so easy to use my cat could do it)
http://www.ulead.com/dps/runme.htm
http://www.ulead.com/dmf/runme.htm
Thay are all pretty basic apps with limited control over DVD creation, but for a novice they are perfect and almost foolproof
You can download trial of them all then buy online if you wish
Ulead also have good support and heaps of updates and freebies for all their products
A much underated company I reckon

I thought you had to buy a plugin to burn CD/DVD with photostory...could be wrong
