Hello, I hope that someone can point me in the right direction. I feel pretty stupid.
I have been infected by (at least) two trojans (Trojan.win32.StartPage.adh & TrojanDownloader.win32.zlob.ci) which has downloaded SpyFalcon onto my system (and hijacked my homepage). CA's eTrust PestPatrol can see them but can't get rid of them and I tried AdAware (on advice from this column) which could see 47 examples but couldn't get rid of them either. I can delete SpyFalcon via add/remove programs but it just comes back.
I am not technical and have had trouble following some of the treads and FAQs (I did check) and so am wondering if there is a single product out there that will sort out my problem and stop it happening again. A silver bullet?
I don't want to rebuild if I can help it.
Anyone got a silver bullet?

Get the file in my signature....Follow what my sig says.

Or get trojan remover (http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html)

Download it run it and click on scan, then select option 3-7 under the utils menu.

It looks like it has spyfalcon in its database, which says:

SpyFalcon is an anti-spyware program which, when installed, may
give exaggerated reports of threats in an attempt to
persuade the user to purchase the program.

The evaulation copy that is installed will only show alerts and not
disable or remove any threats - only the purchased copy will do so.

This program is a clone of SpyAxe.

Thank you all for your prompt and helpful replies. I'll get a printer tonight and print SpyAxe (from Rob99) and give that a go, I think that I can follow the instructions well enough.
I'll let you know how I go. Thank you all again.

I had to remove it from my bro's notebook last night.
