Using win ME and find the right click "send to" option very useful.
I would like to use this option to send files to my cd burner software.

How do I add my CD burner to the "send to" list of options?
I need instructions on how to do this.

Please help :help:

Hi ooh yeh. I found this somewhere recently and it works for adding my memory stick USB to the "Send To". No reason why it shouldn't do what you want......

- Open My Computer
- Double click drive C (or wherever you have Windows)
- Double click Document and Settings
- Double click the appropriate user folder - in my case my name
- Double click the Send To folder. If this is hidden (default) click Tools >
Folder Options > Show Hidden etc.
- Click on File > New > Shortcut
- Follow the brief instructions to create of browse to a shortcut destination
- Future use of the right click > Send To will offer that destination as an option.

You may want to conceal the hidden stuff again but as the only user of this system I don't bother.

..might be useful.

or go "folder options', then "show system files", in there.

What cd burning program, have u got installed?

If u had cd creator / directcd / INCD installed, there would most probably be a send to option there already.

I don't have any CD burning program. Could never think of a reason for installing one.
Just right click on a file, select send to, and in my case E: CD Drive.

Yup XP, will put a send option to the burner anyway.

BUT since XP's burning is useless I've disabled it. And use Nero instead.

What's useless about it? I find it ideal. Works perfectly.

Just right click on a file, select send to, and in my case E: CD Drive.Your method works because you have WinXP. WinME does not have native CD burning support.

If I had a lot of burning to do, I would simply create a Send To default folder and burn from there.

Depends what u burn. I would say it wouldnt work for DVD's, since they have to be converted first. (If you recorded some kind of video).

Unless u dont want it to work on a standalone dvd player. Then you wont have any probs.

Exe files / install files u download, I spose would be ok. That'll be about it.

Nero INCD may have had probs with XP a few years ago, not Nero itself.

I've used Nero, since 5.xx and never had a prob with it. And I'm still using it now, and its up to 6.6.14.

Nero and Nero INCD are separate installs.

Previous versions of CD Creator / DirectCD also had probs with XP. (most probably coz it used to conflict with XP's built in cd-burning).

I know v6 of CD creator had probs with XP SP2. It used to work until I installed SP2. Then it started to create coasters, which I why I biffed CD Creator 6 / DirectCD. And now just use Nero, and Nerovision.
