Does anyone know how i am able to disable windows logo verification?
When I try to install microsoft directx 9.0c I receive a message saying that the software has not passed windows logo testing and subsequently shall not be installed.
I get no option to continue or not. Ive tried installing directx from several different sources, the microsoft website, and various gaming CDs with it attached. When I run dxdiag and look at the display tab it says that my driver is not WHQL Logo'd. I also downloaded a driver update but that also failed to achieve the desired result. I run a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
I have set the driver signing to ignore and still I have the problem.
Recently I got an error wich I cant exactly remember but I was asked to insert the windows xp cd.
My sound driver is also not WHQL Logo'd.

Oooooo a second post for the same problem you had recently.

Why not try reporting back on how the other suggestions worked/didn't work in this thread? (http://forums.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?t=65493)

Funny thing, it probably took you longer to retype than it did for me to find it

Hint hint :)

Edit: actually noticed this is now your 3rd thread on the topic..

Drivers dont have to pass the WHQL logo / test to work.

If the device works, after the drivers have been installed dont worry about it.

My wireless USB adapter, the monitor, the digital cam drivers arent digitally signed, but they still work.
