If 1 printer is on each PC now, just share them.

Then you'll be able to print to either printer, from both computers.

Are the computers networked?

No they are not networked and there is still the problem that both computers would have to be turned on to print to both printers

Yup both computers, will have to be on to print, unless u get something like a USB print server. (I think this is what you call it).

And both will have to be networked, either with ethernet cable (wired), or by using wireless (WI-FI). Wireless can either be PCI Cards, or USB adapters.

So, u can use either printer, from either computer.

A print server would be the nicest thing.

A less elegant way would be a USB switch. I have one which can connect "Up" to two computers, and "down" to 4 USB devices. It has a switch to select which computer "owns" the devices. I haven't ever used it in that mode ... I just bought it as a cheap hub. ;)
