I am wondering how I understand my keyboard functionalities under linux or Windows ?
What i would like to do is to mess up all keys so that only I can understand what key maps to what character ?
Please give me a hint to dig in.Thanks a buch.

Pick up the Keyboard and smash it against the desk :D.

Oh sorry you want to move them :p get a pair of long nose pliers and pull, that works for me on the 1st of April :D

Alex, swapping the keycaps will work. But it does seem a bit pointless. Many people have major problems with spelling even using standard keyboards.

You could try using different keyboard language settings, but that will change only a few key places. In *nix you can make up your own key/character translations; you might even be able to do this in Microsoft.

If you use the Dvorak (I think that's how its spelt) keyboard settings, I think the letters are jumbled around quite a bit. I've never tried it myself though.
