or use a free email service where you won't get spammed to hell and that way you won't need extra space.

Seriously try other services, don't waste time with that spam infested spam collection service. Best thing I ever did was gave up Hotmail.

Or just get proper email instead of web based systems like Hotmail and GMail. ;) Personally I couldn't live without the combination of POP3, Horde and Spam Assassin. :)

Hi, thanks for sharing the tips around. My 25MB Hotmail account eventually got upgraded to 250MB after almost 8 months of wait.

Cheers :)

Gmail reads your emails and builds databases about you. I regularly include the words "bomb", "america", "revenge", "jihad", "i'm a terrorist" and "praise allah" in my emails from Gmail to arouse suspicion.

The best way to go, however, is your own domain name and your own email server.

Ahhh let me see whats the word NOOO

I use Nerdshack pop3 free email and have mates on Gmail that report nearly no spam. I get about .5% of the spam I used to get on hotmail even though I use it to sign up to all sorts of dodgy looking crap (no not porn), well almost completely not.

Have you followed the steps mentioned in the first post correctly? What do you mean by "wanting to undo the (failed?) upgrade"?

Cheers :)

i upgraded mine long ago with that method it works well......cant imagine why i'd want more storage space than that..............shudder at 'g mail' and etc.......why the hell anyone would want to store gigabytes of their important data on a server somewhere on the other side of the world I just cant comprehend...after all harddrive storage is pretty cheap these days and cd/dvd's have made storage costs almost dissapear........

Perhaps you have been eating too much of cookies, cookiemonster? :p No offense meant, just pure humour. It took my Hotmail account approximately 8 months to upgrade from 25MB to 250MB.

Cheers :)

Well, apparently someone has seen this thread and tried to post an auction on Trademe trying to sell his "Kiwi ingenuity" to some poor souls for $3 dollars last week... :D Anyone seen it?
