Hey.. Billing cycle on my 2mbit xtra jetstream goes from 9th - 8th. Its 9th now but i'm still on dialup >< have tried resetting modem & pulling & pluggin back phone cable in but no luck.

Whys there a usual 1 - 2 day lag till you're back on jetstream after being capped to 56k?

Option 1:
"Hello xtra, you bastards are ripping me off, I want a discount on my next bill, and full speed NOW!."

Option 2:
"Hello xtra, you bastards are ripping me off, cancel my account I'm going to Ihug..."

What will probally happen: You Xtra
"Hello xtra, I dont seem to have the cap lifted....OK, lets just see, nope nothing wrong at this end, try rebooting both your computer and router....Hey thanks it works"

Its not dialup - you are still using broadband but capped at 64kbps speed.
Not 56. Not that you ever get 56 out of a dialup modem either...

As Rob99 says ring up and moan...

Even better swap to Ihug $49 for 20gig or $69 for 40gig on 2MB. Tell Xtra to shove there puney pathetic 10 gigs or less up there umm Jack hole.... all right?

Yes Xtra is the worst ISP in NZ to be with. Why are so many people on Xtra then ?, because the majority of NZers think Xtra is the only ISP there is and because they are the only ones that can afford flash TV ads payed for by Telecom.

We signed up with Xtra this time last year because they were giving away a free modem. Now the year is up, if they don't improve their plans soon we will probably change back to ihug. :)

Maccrazy - if you change back to Ihug now, you will get another free modem.

Hmmm. I am with Xtra. I don't mind their plan at all. Then again I'm not one of these "warez" downloaders...
I have the 2mbs/10Gb plan and am quite happy.
I do not want to go onto someones UBS plan and most aren't hugely different in price for the equivalent plans...ANd I hate the $10 extra for tolls rubbish they all insist on.

40gb $69? thats same price as xtras 2mbit 10gig we're on now... What do you guys recommend Ihug or Orcon? Both have similar plans

Ihug. Orcon shape traffic far too harshly and they always seem to have issues these days.
