Why are you asking Stu, is your comp unstable, performing slow?

Personally I would take a heavy hand and remove a boatload of that junk, Crap running at startup only slows a machine down, and if anyone of them is not stable then it can affect the entire comp.

Thank you very much Speedy :)

Nope, I just want to make sure I donít have any nasty on my computer plus I have been getting some weird blue screen error messages lately & I thought something might have got past AVG/ad-aware/spybot but now I can rule out any thing nasty so I can now think it could be xp or my hardware.

Hmm looks like that 0x00000024 stop error points to NTFS, or the ntfs.sys file, which maybe damaged.

Info here (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/prmd_stp_swhw.asp) and here (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/2000/server/reskit/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/Windows/2000/server/reskit/en-us/prork/prhd_exe_ebam.asp)

Thanks Speedy :) (Your full of answers arenít you :D, your all most like another GF :))

Now how in the world (if it is ntfs.sys) got damaged in the first place? (Thatís what I need to find out next)

And it sounds like its going to be a pain to fix as well :(
