my pc got infected whilst surfing int explorer today got easily past my bank of defenses ,shut down windows security centre stuffed windows auto updates,avg 7.1 detected it i cliked on heal ,ammediatly my e mail scanner failed wich did somthing to outlook express cause now i have to re configer my account every time i open it,the file the trojan loaded is fixmhits.exe .no info on google either.the annoying part of this is all my security patches were up to date but when i try to download from ms updates i just get a web page unavailible error grrrrrr.. :badpc: so my question is windows firewall usless..

Disable system restore Ferrite. Boot into safe mode. Run hijackthis again, and tick the following entries, and tick fix checked. Then reboot.
