is there anyway to partition a 37.2GB (32.7GB free) harddrive with XP home and everything else on it? I find if i partition it (like my other harddrive) it is easier to manage disk space. I dont want to got through the windows product activation if i uninstall windows.

i am tryin to find a free tool because i only nedd to do this once

This program is free, and says its an alternative to Partitionmagic / Drive Image and Ghost.

Don't know what it can and can't do tho. Never tried it.

Looks like it can be burned from an iso to cd, and run from cd or floppy.

Partition Logic (http://partitionlogic.org.uk/)

There are also limitations.

Partition logic does not currently support the following:
Partitioning of SCSI hard disks
Non MS-DOS/MBR-style partition tables (i.e. Sun, BSD, EFI/GPT)
Formatting non-FAT filesystems.
Filesystem resizing.
Serial mice, in graphics mode
USB keyboards and mice
Keyboard layouts other than UK English and US English
