I currently run two 128mb cards of ram, each run at 233mhz.

My motherboard only has 2 ram slots.

Im thinking its about time to upgrade to a 512 card, which will run at 400mhz.

I could keep one of my 128 cards, however then the 512 card would have to run at 233mhz (from my understanding).

Should i go for the extra memory or the faster memory?

I'm running XP Pro.

Does the mobo support up to 400 mhz?

If it doesn't, there's no point in getting 400 mhz ram.

I would go for the 512 either by itself or get 2 512 mb simms.

Well it'll be better than the 2 128mb simms , for XP.

i think 2x512 is better, my comment is never mix 128 and 512 together.
