View Full Version : Intel Driver 82801AA AC'97

28-10-2000, 04:55 PM
Can anyone out there steer me in the right right direction? I am running a dual boot 95/98 Packard Bell P111 600 and have been bringing my 95 drivers up to speed in the 95 system. All is fine except for sound which requires Intel(R)82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller which seems to be part of ICH Controller Hub.
Cannot seem to find this on the Intel site although there is plenty of reference to it in documentation. Where can I find the actual driver.
Cheers in advance.
Mark

Hi,
I'm trying to solve a problem with my same sound driver (mine won't even let systray.exe run!), a google search for AC'97 Driver Intel 82801AA will find several. The first resault is here (http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/drivers/130/130168.htm). It is posted on DriverGuide.com (a good site that I've used before). It didn't solve my problem, but it may yours.
I think there's more hindering my system than just one bad driver.

Best of success with your PC.

Opps... :o
Silly me, I really should stop staying up so late. (or pay more attention to forum posts I find through Google)
Sorry, I hope it was worth a good laugh at least. :D
