Are they the same thing or two different stuff?

In my Progams files, they are MSN and MSN 7.5 two items.

Can someone enlighten me?

Cheers

MSN AFAIK is the shortened name for MSN Explorer which is an alternate web-browser.

Not sure honestly, whats the icon for "MSN"?

Thanks, Speedy. Have uninstalled MSN Explorer.

But found something again: Windows Messenger & MSN Messenger , are they the same?

Nope, theyre different too. BUT do exactly the same thing.

Windows messenger is installed as part of XP.

And can be used, if u use remote desktop (XP Pro).

Altho it can be removed, by running this

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/MessengerDisable.zip from here

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_u.htm#xp_util

BUT then, if u do remove it, remote desktop wont work... Unless I think u run
remote desktop connection, and enter the info in manually.
