I have a dual boot system on a Win2k Pro system.
MS in its infinite wisdom has given both systems the same name.
I know which is which but other users don't.

How can I rename (at least one of) them ?

TIA.

Thanks, but this link is for changing the domain name or computer name.

I want to change the names on the dual boot menu displayed at start up time.

I know how to change the default system and the delay time but not the names.

You can edit the names in the boot.ini file.

Sorry, the original post wasn't quite clear.
I thought you meant others on a network (if there is one) couldn't differentiate as each OS had the same computer name.
Snoopy is correct Boot.ini is the file that needs altered to change the selection at boot time

You might have to change its attributes to be able to edit and save it. It will probably be read-only, system, and hidden.
