Hi,

I installed Fedora Core 4 over Windows XP on my laptop to experiment with linux; I didn't partition the drives or anything. Now i tried to install WinXP again by booting the CD (Just as i did for FC4) but it doesn't work!
How can i remove linux and replace it with WinXP again plzzz?

Thanks

What brand of notebook?

Does it have a hidden partition?

Is you XP disc a full version?

What dosent work, booting from the CD or the install of windows?

You should be able to delete the Linux partitions during the install process and re-create NTFS partition(s). You certainly won't be able to proceed if you do not do this.

Thanks for the reply

It is an Acer laptop (Celeron processor).. I have WinXP SP2 fulldisk..
Booting the WinXP installation disk is not working. I installed linux the same way, booted the linux disk and just overwrote WinXP. I am trying to do the same now but insted of linux, i am trying to install WinXP..

Thanks again

Problem solved :)
The Booted CD worked. I deleted the partitions and then created new ones and installed WinXP :D

Thanks all
