Does anyone know of a free programme that will allow me to convert AVI, MPEG 1,2 etc, DivX, XVid and "video clip" files to the DVD format so I can copy the converted file to a DVD and play it in a DVD player?? And anyway, what actually is a DVD format, as someone told me it was an MPEG4 file type?? Thanks, Aporosa

Have u got a dvd burner? If u have, did something (a program come with it)?

That program, whatever it is will or should burn whatever u have to DVD.

Nerovision will do most formats / burn them to dvd. Not too sure about divx /xvid tho.

There's heaps of posts in here about what to use....

One being videolan or something.

Does that program author to DVD and have a burning feature,or does it just convert to AVI?,mpeg?,can it encode vob into AVI?

Always on the look out for a superior tool.

Though if it justs encodes to AVI then vitual dub can do that for free.....
