Hello,

I wish to create a IF statement that will take the value of each the cells are equal in A3:D3 and check it with the cells A2:D2 and return a Yes statement if the values in all cells are all equal in the IF statement. I want to paste this formuala in a large list about 40,000 entries to check so you see why I am trying to write a formula rather than check manually!!!

I tried to used nested IF statement but could not get it to work.

Can someone please suggest a site to go to all can give me some pointers or ideas on how to do it, it will be much appreciated!!!!!

Many
Thanks

Hi, your trying to find duplicates? If so its easier if you take a 2 step approach.

1) In a blank column, concatenate the cells you wish to evaluate.
eg =A1&B1&C1&D1&E1&F1 and copy formula down.

2) Find duplicates by counting how many occurances there are of the concatenated value.
eg assuming the formula in 1 above was in G1 your formula would look like this
=COUNTIF(G:G,G1)

If the result is >1 then there is a duplicate
