In the July issue of PC World NZ, Windows' Advisor (page 82), there is an article on the "hidden image viewer" shortcut.
In the Create Shortcut dialog box I entered:- rundll32.exe%SystemRoot%\system32\shimgvw.dll,Imag eView_Fullscreen
as shown, but when I entered "Next" I got a message saying:- The file <rundll32.exe ........View_Fullscreen> could not be found.
Both files, rundll32.exe and shimgvw.dll are in the Windows\System32 folder.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Windows XP Pro, SP2.

If the version of the command line as displayed here is exactly what you entered to the system you might have the dreaded "extra space" error.

"Imag eview_Fullscreen" ? Try "Imageview_Fullscreen"

You will get that error message if you do not leave a space between rundll32.exe and %SystemRoot%.

Edit, just seen Grahams post, I couldn't write the full line without getting a dreaded extra space :)

So just make sure you type the command with a space between rundll32.exe and %systemroot%

That's why I made it a "conditional statement". :D But it looks as if I was on the right track. Space characters cause lots of problems.

Graham and Terry,
Thanks for your replies.
Adding the space between rundll32.exe and %..... solved the problem.
