This has bugged ne for a while, Im unable to install program on this PC which I have no trouble installing on any other PC. The latest hassle I have is attempting to install Brother Keeper, but equally I have unresolved problems installing NZ Mapped, MS Publisher, Mosnster truck Madness etc...

Each time I try installing, I get this box on screen

16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\Windows\System32\AutoExec.NT The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications. Choose Close to terminate the applicaton.

Ive tried loading the file onto the hard drive, then installing from there, no luck either.

Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks John in Mosgiel.

Do a forum search (7 th item from the left starting with user cp) This problem and solution has been covered in depth.

BTW this normally caused by spyware or virus activity so a scan with spybot or adaware would be adviseable also and of course check that your virus checker is up to date
