Hi all, I have linked my sky box to the computor and back to the TV so I can use the computor as a recorder. It all works fine but I use ulead video studeo to record and it seems a little over kill and slow to start for such a simple purpose. Does anyone know a simple programe that would do the job, maybe with 'timeslip'? TIA

Have a look here. (http://www.tv-cards.com/apps.php) There are several free ones and a few demos to try.

I use the application that came with my TV card, but i've heard good things about Showshifter (http://www.showshifter.com/) and PowerVCR (http://www.gocyberlink.com/multi/products/product_main.jsp?ProdId=2) .
Both have free trials, and both occasionally offer older versions free on Aussie PC mag discs.

Thanks for the help. I'll give mainconcept and powerVCR a go and see which is easiest for dummies.
