Could there be an IRC server or javaChat?

To be honest it would be good to chat to more IT people in NZ, and quite frankly bar this forum the actual IM type chat or similar is fairly non existant

perhaps a system to evolve our IT community?

Fair and appropriate comments.

I am about to start on anti anxiety pills myself hopefully this comming thursday so hopefully that may do some of what you have mentioned :-)

Apparently my mind may have around normal ability or so to make anxiety chemicals but 1/3rd the ability to make anti anxiety ones which knocks it out of balance, medication can help fix it.

Maybe its lack of exposure, i have been through probably 150 posts on my last account and 20-30 posts on this account and haven't seen the chat before.

Also is not a high quality application suitable for the professional level of pc world in my opinion, which i would agree is just my opinion

On brief analysis i would suggest http://www.cutesoft.net/ASP.NET+Chat/default.aspx

Or other top rated software of medium to high quality. A Directory of which may be here www.hotscripts.com (http://www.hotscripts.com)

Unless I am completely mistaken, the chatf1 server runs on linux, ( see http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/?host=chatf1.net.nz ) and can not handle asp.

If you stopped worrying so much about other people's community efforts perhaps you'd be less in need of your anxiety pills :D

FYI, chatF1 was created by a PressF1 user, and is not something that PCWorld/IDG has put together.

what would be the point in using an ASP script when this forum uses PHP?

Anyway, I know of a cool little yet-to-be-released netchat script, and since i'm on ont of the creator's teams can probably get a copy or two... :D
