Hi

I am running Windows xp pro and I did a system clean up and compressed old unused files.

I think it was after that that some of my Office xp programs started to play up.

Outlook can't find the Entry point to something in Msdart.dll when I open it (the Email works I think) and Excel wants to run the installation program when I start it up.

Excel works if I cancel the installation at a certain point.

All the Office programs were working before hand.

I tried uncompressing the Office folder and subfolders/files as well as Windows and the system32 folder as much as I could. This is a very time consuming thing...

Any help please?

Thanks

You could see if there is a system restore point made and go back, but im not a 100% sure if that would fix it or not maybe worth a try because you can always undo the changes.

You could try going to add remove programs and select Office. Select change and then select the repair option.

This is where you stuffed it up. These are files you should never touch...
Try to do a repair as mentioned.
