View Full Version : Chat over LAN

Is there anyone who could recommend a simple chat software package that I could use while playing multi player games over a LAN. I have tried Voicer - which locks up - and X-Lite-Xten which attempts to log onto the internet before starting up.

Yep RW or Ventrillo works well, or TeamSpeak but thats slightly more complicated to set up.

Skype is free for internet telephony, but is _not_ suited for this purpose due to an internet connection being required for transfers.

SkypeOut makes calls to land-lines, and does cost.

Thanks Guys
I downloaded Roger Wilco and apart from the GameSpy Registration Splash screen freezing my system (I ended up unzipping it using Winzip, bypassing the reg screen), it works a treat with the middle mouse button as the push to talk button.
