i am looking at buying dreamweaver mx 2004 an saw to versions of
it ,one being dreamweaver mx 2004 and the other is the same but education
version, apart from the cost and needing student id is there any differance between the 2, if there is can any one tell me

Don't think there is a difference... the only thing is if you buy it as a student, you can't use it 'in a commercial environment'.
I noticed this when I bought the education version of XP pro last year; everything seems the same as my other XP pro, jus had that lil clause on it (not to be used in a commercial environment)
It may be different with Macromedia

Academic versions are identical to other full versions, only the license conditions differ.

The difference between the Academic version of Dreamweaver and the Full version is in the licensing. The academic version is only licensed for academic or private use. The regular version is licensed for commercial use.
