Here is a weird one for you

I use WIN XP PRO and for ages I have been unable to get into a commercial web site with either IE or MOZELLA. (it used to be fine)

The site is www.sharp.net.au It stops loading at about 27%

I have no problem with any other site and can get into www.sharp.com.au (which is a different company), without difficulty

If i use a Dialup from a different ISP like XTRA on my computer. (courtesy of a friend) I get in fine.

I thought it was perhaps the setup of the IHUG Routers, but then I decided to use my wifes Win 98 computer and it got in 100%. She uses the same Dialup but just a different email address.

It is the only site I have a problem with. Can anyone explain this.

Here are a few things to try.
Do a file search on your computer for a file called "hosts" open it and see if there is any reference to the site in there and detete it.
Empty your temporary Internet files and Cookies.
In IE go to tools and security and restricted sites and see if the site is in there.
In IE tools Privacy sites and see if it is in there.
Also if you are running a firewall check its settings to make sure it isn't blockin the site as well.
You can also flush your DNS cache by using: start run cmd type "ipconfig /flushdns"

Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to help

Some of your suggestions I had tried, some were new such as flushing the DNS Cache

Unfortunately nothing worked, and the fault shows with both IE AND Mozella

Oh well Back to the drawing Board

Have you got a popup blocker??.
Check that or any thing like spyware blaster or spy bot that the site is being blocked.
Try going thru this lot and trying the various fixes.

Whats your IP? Some sites have a block on certain IP address ranges - check with your ISP
