Windows XP SP2

Lately I've been getting bluescreens for no apparent reason. So I checked the Event Viewer and it logged this error:

Event ID: 7
The device, \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block. (does "D," refer to my D: partition?)

I did a chkdsk and it found no problems, I defragged, all that stuff. Before I installed XP, I did a full format on all the partitions, not quick ones.

Someone recommended me to use a program called wdclear.exe to wipe the hard drive and fill it with zeros. And if that doesn't work, I should replace the hard drive.

What are your guys' suggestions? Can I fix this problem without having to reformat/replacing the hard drive? Thanks a bunch.
