See if theres an entry in device manager under universal serial bus controllers. Saying USB2 enhanced Host controller, or enhanced Host controller. I take it u have XP/2k installed??

Or check out this BIOS. See if theres a USB 2 entry in there.

OK. Well dont think it'll work with 98 or under only 2k with SP4, or XP.

It wont work on your system ....You'll have to install 2k or XP to get it to work at all.

a quick search came up with this (http://www.neilturner.me.uk/2004/Sep/10/ipod_musings.html) . I don't know how accurate the info is, so it could pay to check it out further

USB2 will work OK with W98se - you may need to buy a PCI to USB2 card if your motherboard does not natively support it. That is what I use with no problems.

Thats true. A USB2 PCI card should work. Just make sure u have a spare PCI slot in the case.

I have no idea if you have USB2.0 or not.
You should be able to use the equipment anyway as USB is backwardly compatible.

Just USB2 is faster than USB1.1. It still can be used!!!
